Highgate plant room.

Commercial jobs like this are a long way from domestic work. This is a plant room that we installed in Highgate, north London. It consists of a commercial water softener, booster set, 2000L unvented cylinder and pump sets for the heating and hot water.

The main challenge for this was the design aspect. The drawings we had didn't show the ventilation which you will see at a high level, and they showed the heating pipes coming in from the main boiler room at a different location. We fabricated all headers and redesigned the plant room to ensure a high-end finish and plenty of room for servicing.

Peckham Rye bar.

This project was undertaken as a rescue job since the previous plumber started running all the pipework in plastic push-fit. Having decided that they needed something a little more bespoke, the owners contacted AfterGlow.

We enjoyed every minute of working on this. The complex bending was a challenge but it was extremely rewarding. The pipework in this stylish bar is exposed so we had to merge cosmetics and functionality into the final aesthetic.

The end result is pipework and radiators that play a pivotal role in the overall industrial chic finish of the space. (More photos to follow.)
